Hey everyone! Since I posted yesterday I had a few things happen to me. I'm somewhat of a theater nerd and I'm in a production of Peter Pan with most of my friends. (I'm an Indian!) Yesterday was our first dress rehearsal on the big stage so there was a whole bunch of stopping, fixing things, rerunning things, and yelling from the tech members. What most people don't realize is what goes on backstage with the cast. Since the theater we perform in is humungous we have an entire down stairs area to fool around in, and that is exactly what we do. Any Indians that didn't have dark hair, like me, had to wear a black wig, and most of the small children had decided that it would be fun to jump on my back and use my braided wig as a bridal. I was the one who got in trouble though after I picked up one of the little kids and carried him around the room. I wasn't being loud or anything, I was just playing with the cute little lost boys! At one point of the show, me and my friend have to hide in a "cabin" with Peter and the lost boys then wait to attack the pirates. My friend and I where joking around with a bath brush that she has to "beat up" one of my guy friends with (he is a pirate). She kept pretending to lick the brush and got to close the last time. It took her a second to react but she was freaking out while I just laughed. After that, some of the older pirates who don't understand humor decided to shush us, which just made us laugh harder. Finally once we had calmed down we talked about other important things to do after this scene, like what to do, who to hang out with, and when I could finally get the horrible itchy wig off. Then after the rehearsal we all went down stairs, took our costumes off and just hung out, making jokes about how some of the boys act around my friend that had licked the brush. Theater is so much fun with these people. I almost forgot, some of my Indian friends are ending up being some of my best friends... they defiantly act like they are since they like to ask me lots of questions about my way of thinking and other things. I love them though <3 that's just what friends are for! Some people just don't understand what really goes on with the characters when they aren't on stage! It might be best not to know though.
Thanks for reading about my odd but pretty normal life!
